Featuring over 30 Japanese craft breweries and a handful of international imports, the Keyaki Beer Festival is one of the larger beer related events in the Kanto region. Now held twice a year, the Autumn event has traditionally been the larger of the two events. This years’ Autumn event is held earlier than before, starting on August 30th, and features over 100 booths of beer-related goodness.
This event is pay-as-you-go and open to the public so no need to purchase tickets in advance. Try to get in during the weekdays since the weekends have been absolutely packed previously.
As always this even is held at the Keyaki Hiroba next to the Saitama Super Arena, easily accessible from Saitama Shintoshin station from either the Keihin-Tohoku Line, Takasaki Line, or Tohoku Main Line (Utsunomiya Line).
Opening times for this event are as follows:
- August 30th 16:00 – 21:30
- August 31st to September 2nd 11:00 – 21:30
- September 3rd 11:00 – 19:00
You can see their pamphlet for the event with a map here (Japanese).
If you are interested in Japanese craft beer, this is a must-attend event!
